The first international conference of the College of Nursing was held under the title:
(The Impact of Scientific Research on Nursing Practices)
Conference Objectives
1- Reaching the maximum possible benefit from scientific research in practical application to raise the level of health services in the health field.
2- Raising the efficiency of health service providers in the health field.
3- Reaching a high level of quality of health services at the local level.

Under the patronage of Prof/Ayman Abdel Moneim, Governor of Sohag, Prof/ Nabil Nour El-Din, President of Sohag University, Prof/Safa Mahmoud El-Sayed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof/ Anis Shiha, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Prof/ Samia Mohamed Said, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, , held the first international conference of the Faculty of Nursing, Sohag University, on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to 5-6/4/2016
(The Impact of Scientific Research on Nursing Practices)
The conference activities began an opening session at eleven O’clock in the glass hall of the university, in the presence of Prof/ Safa Mahmoud El-Sayed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof/ Samia Mohamed Ahmed Saeed, Dean of the College of Nursing and Conference President, and Prof/ Ramadan Saleh Abdo, Vice Dean of the Faculty Nursing for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, Secretary General of the Conference, and Dr/Ghani Abdel Nasser Ali, Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Education and Student Affairs and Chairman of the Scientific Committee. We are also honored by the attendance of a large number of university leaders from the deans and representatives of the various at the university; in addition the leaders of medical and nursing work in Sohag Governorate. In the presence of the professors, members of the Permanent Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Assistant Professors of Nursing Faculties, who enriched the conference with their knowledge, experiences and interaction with the attendance. A large number of faculty members, the assistant staff and students attended the conference. We were also honored by the attendance of a number of young researchers and a number of graduate students (Masters and Ph.D.) from the sisterly State of Yemen who are enrolled to study at Assuit University, and their number (8), Germany and the State of Kuwait.
The first day included three scientific sessions over a period of four hours, which started at twelve noon until four o’clock in the afternoon.

In the second and third session, the role came to young researchers from inside and outside the college, who presented a group of distinguished researches that won everyone’s admiration and received a great deal of distinguished scientific.

After the trouble of a long and hard scientific day, we had to provide the attendees with some entertainment, so a beautiful Nile cruise was organized from 7 to 10 pm, which included many and many good paragraphs in which the talented people excelled the great poet Dr/Yusriya Al-Sayed Youssef.
