The Excellence training period is preceded by an orientation training period for Excellence students and extends for two weeks, starting from (August 15) until (August 29), until the student is qualified for the Excellence period.
Then followed by Excellence training, the first round begins with the period of June from (1 September) to (August 31) for the following year.
The training period for students of the second round begins in September from (December 1) to (November 30) for the following year.
1- Notifying the administrative of doctors’ Affairs at the University Hospital of the number of successful students to receive work and pay their financial dues.
2- Announcing the students who wish to transfer to nursing colleges at the level of the Republic in order to spend the period of compulsory training assigned to them (excellence), after the approval of the Dr/ Dean of the college, within fifteen days of the announcement.
3- Announcing for students who wish to spend their Excellence period at Sohag University Hospital to bring 2 personal photos, a photo of the card and a copy of the birth certificate during the training period.
4- Conducting monthly assessments for students at the University Hospital in Sohag and following up on transferred students to other governorates during the one-year compulsory training period.
The student must pass the training period with a percentage of not less than 60%, and the absence rate does not exceed 3% according to the regulation at the rate of (three days) per month. In the case, the student exceeds the percentage of absence or obtains less than 60% in the monthly assessment, he must repeat the month.
5- Enrolled students in training at Sohag University must undergo a training program for a week before the start of the Excellence in the first and second rounds. In case, the student is absent for more than one day, he will not receive the work in the training.
