The college was established by Republican Decree No. 129 of 2006 as one of the faculties affiliated with Sohag University with the aim of supplying the labor and employment markets with specialists in the fields of nursing, able to positively contribute to the process of modernization and development in the fields of nursing services at the local and regional levels. The college started Bachelor’s programs, and the college includes eight scientific departments:
